Girls soccer wins first round tournament game 7-0

The girls soccer team won their opening round tournament game at home last night 7-0 over the Lady G-men of Georgetown. 

Scoring goals for the Cowboys were Michelle Jolson and Jillian Anderson with 2 each, Hailee Schlager, Jenni Marck and Lilly Grace.

Despite a big, early lead, the girls played heads up all night.

Medical updates:

Jenni Marck had a head to head collision with a Georgetown player which ended up requiring 7 stitches.  The good news is that she does not have a concussion.  The bad news is that she is out until Saturday when the stitches will be removed.

Kelli Edwards made her season debut.  She's had a long fight back from a knee injury so it was great to see her out on the field (although the slide tackle made me a little nervous).

Next up: Thursday at home at 7 PM vs. Clark Montessori
