In Memoriam

With heavy heart we salute the team that was and is no more, the Boys JV Lacrosse team.  For what can only be described as super-valid, completely logical, and most definitely non-sucking reasons, the team is no more.

Boys Lacrosse Braced for the Braves

Jack Mariani reports from the Boys Lacrosse team:

After a long grueling week of road games, the Cowboys Men's Lacrosse team emerges 4-6 on the year with only 7 games left in the regular season. We racked up quite the fuel bill for the team buses this week, with away games at Milford, Springboro, and Oakwood.
On Monday, 4/18, we traveled to Milford and battled against a tough Division 1 Eagles squad. After being down 5-2 at one point in the 2nd quarter, we tied the game at 8 before the final frame of play, but were unfortunately bested by Milford down the stretch and suffered a 12-9 loss.
On Wednesday, 4/20, we made the trek to Springboro to face the Panthers, another D1 matchup. Here, we lost track of the game down the stretch and turned a 3-1 deficit at half time into a 12-4 loss.
Fired up after the self inflicted wounds during Wednesday's game, we came into Oakwood eager to get a W. Having lost to the Lumberjacks by 2 last season, we were definitely out for revenge as well. Lead by a defense that weathered the storm of two 3-minute non-releasable penalties, the 'Boys took it to Oakwood and walked out with an 8-3 win on Friday the 22nd.
We come off of a tough week of travel to one of, if not, our biggest game of the season against the dreaded rival Indian Hill Braves. The Braves are having a good season, sitting at 7-4, and will bring the same rivalry attitude to Bob Lewis Stadium on Monday night. The games will be at 5:30 and 7:30 at home on Monday, April 25th, and we invite the whole community to come out and take in the greatest rivalry in town. We also encourage fans to wear white and fill the stands to bring that great Wyoming home-field advantage to the lacrosse field. We hope to see you all there.

Boys Lacrosse Bouncing Back

Jack Mariani, student athletes and a team captain for the Boys Lacrosse team reported for the team:

The 'Boys have wrapped up the first 3rd of their season with a record of 3-4, bouncing back after a tough 0-3 start before Spring Break. In the past week the team has recorded back-to-back wins over Turpin and Seven Hills, 13-3 over the Spartans and a nailbiting 7-6 comeback victory over the Stingers. We're really about to hit the bulk of our schedule, playing 6 games over the next 2 weeks including 3 straight road games starting April 18th at Milford. The team is finally working out the kinks and getting into a rhythm, one we hope to carry into arguably our biggest game of the year, vs Indian Hill at home on Monday, 4/25. 

Hope to see Bob Lewis Stadium packed with blue and white that Monday for our big rivalry game.

The Boys JV Lacrosse team faced Loveland on Saturday, March 19th in their season opener.  They ended in a 4 all tie.

Sticks Down, Heads Up

Friday, May 22, the Boys Lacrosse team's season came to end against Bishop Fenwick with a 7-9 final.  Congratulations to the team and to Coach Miller on an amazing season.

Friday White Out- REVISED DATE

Lynn Crider reported for the Boys Lacrosse team

Last Friday, the Varsity Boys’ Lacrosse team ended the regular season with a win over Indian Hill.  Coming from behind at the end of 3rd quarter, the team pulled together and won 10-9!  The post season tournament starts on Friday.  Indian Hill will play Bishop-Fenwick on Wednesday.  Cowboys will play the winner of that game on Thursday, May 21st 7 p.m. at Wyoming High School.  Please come out and support your Cowboys and don’t forget to wear WHITE!!  It will be a perfect night for a WHITE-OUT!!

All tickets are $6 and Booster Passes will not be accepted.

Boys To Face the Braves

This week the boys lacrosse teams will be playing the last regular season game away at Indian Hill. Game times are JV @5pm and Varsity @7pm (Friday, May 15th).  The boys look to finish the regular season strong in a vital game against the Braves.

This Sunday, the JV boys lax team will play in the Annual East Side JV Lacrosse Tournament held at Mariemont HS. Teams participating in this tournament are:
