Football team 6th in Week 5 Harbin Rankings

Here are the Week 5 Harbin rankings (we're on page 12).  We are currently 6th in Division III - Region 12.

If you don't have a headache, but would like one, here's how Harbin points are determined.

Football team ranked 3rd in city and state, subject of Community Press article

The football team ended the regular season ranked both 3rd in the state and 3rd in the city (because they include Divisions II-IV).

Enquirer Coaches poll here.

State rankings here.

Community Press article "Wyoming battle-tested going into playoffs" here.  Be patient - this seems to load very slowly.

The first round playoff game is at home this Friday against Eaton at 7:30 PM.

Harbin rankings - CORRECTED - We're third

Head football coach Bernie Barre was kind enough to contact the Roundup and let us know that the Harbin rankings contained a mistake - somehow the Harbin gods thought we lost to Taylor.  So actually we're THIRD.

Thanks coach.

Football team moves to #3 in state rankings, drops to 6th in Region 12 in Harbin

The football team jumped over Poland Seminary to #3 in the state rankings (despite PS winning).
Full poll here.

On the Harbin side, we dropped from #4 to #6 in Region 12, Division III.  A win over Indian Hill should take care of that.
Full rankings here.

Girls soccer ranked 2nd in state in final poll!

The girls soccer team was ranked 2nd in the state in Division II in the final Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association poll.  They trail only Columbus Bexley.  The CHL was well represented with Mariemont at #4, Madeira at #7 and Indian Hill recieving votes that would have placed them tied for #12 (although the formal rankings end at 10).

Full rankings here.

Come out to support the girls tonight at Norwood as they take on McNicholas in the third round of the tournament.  If you go, be aware that Norwood's Shea Stadium is not located at the high school, which is on Sherman Avenue. Rather, it is at 2603 Harris Avenue (45212). See you there to cheer on the Cowboys.

This is always hard to find online.  Don't know why.  Complete listing here.

Girls soccer ranked 5th in state

The girls soccer team inexplicably dropped two places in this week's state rankings, despite an easy win in the only game we played since the previous poll and the fact that Chagrin Falls, one of the two teams that moved ahead of us, went 1-0-1 since the last poll.

There are two things to give comfort.  1 - This is not the BCS.  Champions are decided on the field, as they should be.  2 - They don't even have our record correct, listing us as 11-0-2 instead of 12-0-2, so that brings their credibility into question.
