Second Half Woes

Jen Hays sent us the following report from the Boys' Varsity Soccer team's Tuesday, September 24th match against CHL leader Mariemont.

Wyoming Men’s Varsity Soccer team took on CHL rival Mariemont last night at Mariemont.   The first half of the game the Warriors and Cowboys fought it out, back and forth, keeping the half a scoreless one at 0-0.  The second half proved to be an even harder battle.  Although the Cowboys fought hard, they couldn’t hold on giving up two goals, for a final score of Wyoming 1– Mariemont 2.  You’ll get ‘em next time guys!

Next game if Thursday, Sept. 26th at Home against Lebanon.  JV plays at 5:00. Varsity plays at 7:00.  Come on out and cheer on the Cowboys!!
During the Varsity game the Seniors will be selling Cowboy’s Care t-shirts and cupcakes with proceeds going to the American Cancer Society!  The shirts are pretty cool and only $10, so help them out!!
Thanks to Jen Hays for the report, and
Thanks to Deb Varland for the great photos.

Soccer Shoot-Out

About 30 from the Boys' Soccer team family had a great day painting the town , uh apparently yellow.
Check out more of the great pictures that were sent to us.
See them HERE

I think the most amazing picture is of keeper, Hays.  Somehow he was able to overcome his habit to get front of every spherical object hurtling towards him to remain paint-less (at least in this picture, anyway).

Maxwell with the Assist

Senior Kelsey Maxwell is now at 13th in the state of Ohio with her 2,528 career assists.
The team is perfect in the CHL at 9-0 (14-3 overall).  They will be hosted by Taylor on Thursday, September 26th at 6:30.

Looking Good

We have photos from the Middle School Cross Country meet at Winton Woods from September 19th.  I don't have results, but that sure looks like a medal around Parker's neck.
Thanks to Leila Derge for the great photos.

I hate to sound like some old fogey, but gosh these kids look younger and younger every year.  This girl in the purple uniform doesn't look much older than 7.

Show 'em Why We're #1

The Final Coaches' Poll for the Ohio DII Boy's Golf is out and it's no suprise who's on top.

Forget the Golf Clap; this is what we're looking for when our #1 Cowboys play in the DII Sectionals tomorrow, September 26th.

Mustangs Muzzled

The following is an excerpt from the Wyoming Sports Report's write-up of the September 20th mauling of the Madeira Mustangs.

In a 55-20 demolishing of the Madeira Mustangs, the Wyoming Cowboys returned to their winning ways. The torrential downpour on Friday couldn't stop the beatdown of the defending CHL champs, which was just what the Cowboys needed to open off their CHL play. After losing two close games to out of league teams, Wyoming looks to win out the rest of the season in order to make the playoffs.

I understand Terrell's crazy 310 yards rushing puts him in 3rd place for the single game record.  Make sure you vote for him for the WCPO Player of the Week (Vote HERE ).  Quarterback Will Marty was no slouch either as he earned quite a few rushing yards himself.  Vote HERE for Will in the Ohio National Guard Cincinnati Player of the Week.

Thanks to the Wyoming Sports Report for the summary.
