The 5 Stages of a Post
Okay, right. It's been a few days since the end of the Boys Basketball season. Writing up the sad news is just as tough for me as Math is for Barbie. I spent a few days in denial - you know you can't trust everything you read on the Interweb. Then when I tried to write, I just got angry because kept misspelling lost as won. Then after I got that sorted, I had to bargain with the higher powers that be to send me some game details, which just depressed me. Now I've come to accept it though.
What an amazing season. And to have it go on for as long as it did was icing on an already sweet cake. I'll leave the final details and analysis to Scott Springer at Cincinnati.com. Check out his article HERE
Keep on the lookout, I expect to have some pictures soon.

Watch Out for the Left Turn in Albuquerque
With the track season set to start here at home, Coach Knickel updated us on Cowboy alum' Emily Stites, who, with her William and Mary teammate, were the first of the women tribe to break 16 minutes in the 5000m event. They are headed to the NCAA Indoor National Championships in Albuquerque in two weeks.

Mmmmmmmm..... Pancakes
Pancakes are great. I love pancakes, but who has the time and talent make good pancakes. For those of us with an inner Martha Stewart, you have to mix like a thousand ingredients together with NASA precision, (or I guess you could cheat and buy the pre-made mix). But that’s just the start of the ordeal. Then you have to try to get the right amount of batter into the pan without it running into the other puddle of batter in the pan, and then use some sort of psychic powers to determine when to flip them over. (You know that whole “watch for the bubbles” thing is a cruel inside joke perpetrated and perpetuated by the cookbook publishing industry.) And who wants to waste a whole Saturday morning on making half-runny and half-burnt pancakes and then cleaning up a sink full of mixing bowls and frying pans when you should be outside enjoying the day. Thankfully, the Wyoming School Foundation and Wyoming Youth Services have heard your cries and have provided an opportunity for you to enjoy the day with your family AND have a piping hot pile of proper pancakes.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 15th as The Wyoming School Foundation (WSF) and Wyoming Youth Services (WYS) once again team up to provide Wyoming families with a morning of fitness and breakfast with the 3rd annual 5K FUNRUN and 13th annual Pancake Breakfast.
The Wyoming School Foundation kicks off the morning with the 5K FUNRUN, starting at 9:00 a.m. Runners of all ages are encouraged to participate. The course is a 2.5K loop--run it twice for a full 5K run!
Once the run is completed, head to the Civic Center for a rewarding and delicious PANCAKE breakfast, sponsored by Wyoming Youth Services. This annual event is the unofficial kick-off to Spring. The breakfast runs from 8:00-11:00 a.m. Admission is free with your race registration or available at the door for $5.00 (children 3 and under are free). Breakfast includes pancakes, sausage, fruit and choice of beverage.
RACE REGISTRATION TODAY at www.wyomingschoolfoundation.org.
Fitness AND breakfast for the whole family…what could be better??

Rockets Wrecked by Cowboy Sectional Champs
For those of us in a hurry, the picture above pretty well sums up everything you need to know about Saturday's Boys Basketball Sectional game against McNick. There was a good turn-out from the Crazies and the team won 63-60.
If you're still in hurry, but have 48 seconds to spare and want a better sense of just how close the final was, check out the video above.
For those of us on a more leisurely track today, take your time and enjoy some more photos from the game.
Thanks to Tim Marty for sending in the video and helping to turn this into a true multi-media extravaganza..
Thanks to Rod Apfelbeck for the great photos.
