Cowboys Crushed

The 8th Grade Girls' Basketball team traveled to Indian Hill on Monday, January 28th.  I didn't get an official report, but my unnamed source tells me it wasn't pretty.  They thought the final score was 26-41.

Thanks to Margaret Gallick for the pictures.

Seven Hills Brought Low

On Monday, January 28th, the Boys' Basketball team swatted down Seven Hills.  I don' t have any stats yet, but with a score of 67-36 and a bounty of crazy-good basketball pictures, I couldn't wait.  With a score like that, it would be a shame to just recite dry stats.  Someone should fill us in on the big action that surely took place.

Come out and support the Boys as they invite Taylor over for another insect-based victory on Friday, February 1st.

Thanks to Arch Cunningham for these beautiful pictures.

Stites Still Supreme

From Coach Greg Knickel
Update on 2012 State 3200 Champion, Emily Stites (WHS '12). Emily set the school 1600 record last spring with a time of 5:02.16. I thought she could go sub 5:00 last spring. The mile is about 9 meters longer than the 1600 so that's a sub 4:50 1600 time that she ran yesterday at the George Mason Patriot Games.

From the William and Mary Tribe Website
In the mile, freshman Emily Stites (Wyoming, Ohio) was the top collegiate finisher in third place overall, running a lifetime-best and freshman record 4:51.03. In addition to being an ECAC qualification, Stites' performance is the 11th-fastest ever run indoors for W&M, and ranks her as the fourth-fastest miler in school history.
