Triumph at the Tri-Match

The Varsity Volleyball team selfishly wouldn't let anyone else claim a win on Saturday's Tr-Match with Mason and Chaminade-Julienne.

We beat Mason 25-13, 23-25, and 25-19 to seal the deal.

Chaminade-Julienne went down 25-21 and 25-15.

Congratulations, ladies!

It looks like the team was havng a great time.

Even the Eagles had to stand up and cheer for our girls.

So now we have to wonder, maybe it isn't something they are feeding the fans at the football games.  Maybe it's something in the water around here.

JV Boys Soccer Unstoppable

Jen Hays sent in a report from the JV Boy's Soccer Team game against the Talawanda Braves on Saturday.

The Junior Varsity Boys soccer team remains undefeated after playing the Talawanda Braves on Saturday evening.  The Cowboys dominated in play the first half of the game, but couldn't seem to find the back of the net.  However, the second half was a different story.  Around the 33rd minute of the second half Jay Klein started the ball rolling (no pun intended) with a fantastic goal.  The Braves tried to fire back only to see a great save by Wyoming goalie Henry Cartwright.  During the 26th minute Chris Veins made an exciting header into the goal off of a corner kick by Matthew Lethander.  The Cowboys continued to dominate the game right until the end, with goals by Marshall Hays in the 8th minute and Sam Izenson during the 3rd minute.  The boys face a tough opponent in Indian Hill on Tuesday, Sept. 11th at Indian Hill at 5:00.  Go Cowboys!

Thanks for the report, Jen!  Make sure you come out and help to keep the momentum going.

Win #1 for Hancock!

Everything was in place this weekend for Coach Aaron Hancock to claim his first victory.

The fans were there to witness the Man-Handling the Cowboys were to deal the Middletown Madison Mohawks.

The cowboy concession crew was there to feed the fans.

Although, we aren't quite sure what they were feeding them.

Not even the photographers were safe on the field.

The Cowboys occasionally had to stretch themselves to make the play.

Did the Mohawks ever really stand a chance?

It was a hard fought 38-15 win.  Everybody needed a shower when it was over... some more than others

Way To Go Team! And Congratulations to Coach Aaron Hancock on the his first big W.  Here's to many, many more.

Thanks to Rod Apfelback for the great photos.

Double Duty for Concession Stand

Carole Leish wanted to express her appreciation for the concession stand crew and everyone who helped to host not one but two great events for the price of one...

A big thank you to our fearless, energetic crew in the concession stand at Friday's football game who sweated it out once again but managed to smile, laugh and crack some jokes even during the frenzy of the game postponement!  Thank you to Kim Stewart, Jim O'Brien, an empty nester, Jenny & Chris Schneider, Shelley, Steve & Charlie Komrska, Margaret & Tripp Eldredge, Becky Johnson, Robyn Dow, Kay Walters.  Thank you to our grillers Paul Klug, Doug Krekeler and of course, Blayne Smith, our trusty "Split the Pot"  organizer. Thank you also to Jenny Schneider again, Misty Maxwell, Denise Koesterman, Ted Stewart, Peter Tighe and Deanna Erny who showed up on Sat. for the rescheduled game and managed to pump up the sales and Doug Krekeler & Skip Koesterman  for lighting up the grill once again.  Such an amazing crew!
