From varsity baseball head coach Chris Fiehrer:

I just wanted to thank everyone who made it to the "Meet the Team" Baseball dinner. It was huge success and the players were very happy to have such a great turnout.

Steve Dennis received the Wyoming Baseball Appreciation Award.

The team is very excited about traveling to Tennessee over spring break and the money raised at the dinner will help us finance the trip.

Thank you to all the baseball parents for helping make the event a success.

2012 SOUTHWEST OHIO WRESTLING COACHES ASSOCIATION SENIOR ALL-STAR MEET to feature Corbin Guggenheim, Mikey Gonzalez, and Aluor Nyamor

From wrestling head coach Brian Pitman:

The 2012 SOUTHWEST OHIO WRESTLING COACHES ASSOCIATION SENIOR ALL-STAR MEET will be on March 14, 2012 at 6:30 PM @ Sycamore High School. Wyoming will have 3 of their very own wrestle in this event. Wyoming wrestlers include: Corbin Guggenheim, Mikey Gonzalez, and Aluor Nyamor. This is the most Wyoming has had in this event.

Past participants include:
Pete Richman in 2009
Neal Williams in 2010
Michael Sagan in 2011

Please see Corbin, Mikey, or Aluor beginning on Thursday to purchase a ticket for this event. They would really love your support!

Ridenour and Pitman Scholarship Awards

It's time to start thinking about the Ed Ridenour and Gene Pitman Booster scholarships for 2012.  The criteria have changed so please read below for the updated information on each of the scholarships.

Ed Ridenour Scholarship Award

To recognize that senior girl and boy who demonstrated continuous athletic excellence coupled with scholastic performance, character & community involvement.

Award - $1500.00

1) Any member of the senior class who will have completed at least two continuous years of work at Wyoming High School.
2) Excellence in one sport for two full years.
3) An academic average of at least 3.5 GPA (7 semester cumulative)
4) Character, leadership, sportsmanship and community involvement as defined on the application.

Gene Pitman Scholarship Award

To recognize that senior girl and boy who demonstrated continuous athletic excellence, leadership, and sportsmanship as defined on the application.

Award - $1500.00

1) Any member of the senior class who will have completed at least two continuous years of work at Wyoming High School.
2) Outstanding excellence in one sport for two full years.
3) Leadership, sportsmanship and outstanding athletic achievement as defined on the application.
