The boys baseball team won their opening CHL game over Finneytown on Friday night 4 to 3. Joe Rominger went 6 innings to collect the win and Tucker Marty game in and got his first save of the year pitching the 7th. Sam Izenson went 2-3 at the plate.
The rest of the weekend did not go so well for the Cowboys. They lost their second game Friday night to Perry HS 9 to 4. Saturday they lost to Xenia 9 to 1 and to Bellbrook 14 to 3. The Cowboys look to bounce back on Monday vs. Finneytown at 4:30 PM at Brent Elementary.
JV baseball split a doubleheader on Saturday vs. Ross. They lost the first game, but game back to win the second game 3 to 1 behind a strong performance on the mound from Cooper Hausfeld who collected the win while EJ Klee came on to get the save.
Noah Pitman went 4-7 at the plate between the two games.
