Boys soccer defeats Clermont Northeastern, advances in tournament

The boys soccer team defeated Clermont Northeastern 8-0 at Bob Lewis Stadium last night, thereby advancing to the next round of the tournament.

Scoring goals for the Cowboys in the one-sided affair were Jamie Meranus (below) and Daniel Zimmerman with 2 each, and Greg Athans, Joe Panos, Aaron Linn and Joe Fegelman with one tally a piece.

Evan Handler (three saves) and Rob Schroder (one save) combined for the shutout.

Like Kellie Edwards for the girls, it's good to see Rob back from injury.

Next up: 2nd round game at/against Finneytown Saturday at 7 PM.
