The Wyoming boys golf team’s season concluded today with a 5th place finish at Districts. Oakwood (Dayton) shot 314 and Kettering Alter (Dayton) shot 317 to advance to the State Championship next week in Columbus. The other two teams that finished in front of us today were senior laden teams from north of Dayton. Wyoming placed the highest of all the Cincinnati based schools competing in the event.
The team had a terrific season. To wit:
· #1 in the city in the final Division II Boys Golf Poll conducted by the Cincinnati Enquirer
· Division II Sectional Champs
· CHL Preview Champs
· 2nd place out of 18 teams in the Badin Bash tournament in September
· 2nd place in the CHL
In addition to these accomplishments, Coach Crider added this, "More importantly, I can list out an equal number of incidents that speak to the character of the young men on the team. I am proud of each and every member of the team and have immensely enjoyed coaching them and watching them grow as competitors and young men this season."
Congrats on a great season!
