2009 Hall of Fame Inductees: Irvine '81, Pipes '94 and Scott '62

This Friday, October 23, 2009 at 5:30 PM the Wyoming High School Booster Association will induct the Hall of Fame Class of 2009. The ceremony will take place in the Pendery Lobby of Wyoming High School. The 2009 Inductees are Byrn Irvine '81, Steven Pipes '94 and Richard Scott '62.

Bryn Irvine

Bryn Irvine, a 1981 graduate, was a 12-sport letterman participating in Soccer, Wrestling and Tennis. Bryn is the first Men’s Soccer player inducted into the Hall of Fame. He was a pioneer in the establishment of Varsity Soccer program at Wyoming while being a Capitan and two-time All City Honorable mention player. Bryn’s winters were spent on the wrestling mat leading the Cowboys with three league championships and numerous sectional, district and state-qualifying matches. Bryn’s Varsity Wrestling record over his last three seasons was 84-7. His best season was 30-1. Bryn’s spring season was spent on the Tennis court where he served as team captain and was a state qualifier in doubles with teammate Jeff Berman. Bryn was the 1981 Fred S. Dewey award winner.
 
Steven Pipes

Steven Pipes, a 1994 graduate, was a ten-sport letter participant competing in Football, Basketball and Track. As a four-year Varsity Football player, Steven led the Cowboys to two CHL Championships while being the MVP and an East/West City All-Star. As a three year Varsity Basketball player, he won CHL titles, was an All City honorable mention and a McDonalds All American Nominee. On the Track, Steven participated in Sectional, Regional and State relay teams in the 4x100 and 1600m. Steven was the 1994 recipient of the Fred S. Dewey Award.
 
Richard Scott

Richard Scott, a 1962 graduate, participated in fourteen sports at Wyoming in Football, Basketball, Baseball and Track. Richard participated on four Conference champion Cowboy Football teams! Three of his teams went undefeated in the league! On the basketball court, Richard won three conference championships and served as captain in those winning efforts. In the spring, Richard doubled his efforts as a Varsity Baseball player and Track star. Richard was the 1962 recipient of the Fred S. Dewey Award.
