Two For State

Bob Carter keeps the Boys Tennis reports bouncing our way.

Wyoming was very well represented today (5/22) by two doubles teams at the Southwestern Ohio District tennis tournament.

Will Carter and Chris Murray started off the morning with a win, in two sets, versus Oakwood (Dayton). However, they lost to a very talented team from Cincinnati Country Day in the second round of the district tournament.
Myles Bourbon and Nik Plattenburg also won their opening round match versus Dixie in straight sets – and kept on winning as they beat Indian Hill in the second round. As such, they qualify for the upcoming STATE DOUBLES tournament – way to go!!

Overall, it has been a banner year for the entire Cowboys tennis team: they went 13-4 (5-0 CHL) to take the CHL title, had two doubles teams make it to the second round of the district tournament, and one doubles team (Myles and Nik) have qualified for the state competition!!  A big “THANK YOU” and “CONGRATULATIONS” to all of the players and coaches for a great season!

And the Round-Up extends a big "THANK YOU" to Bob Carter for the report and great pictures.
