Tough Week for Girls Lacrosse

Coach Crawford caught us up on last week's Girls Varsity Lacrosse action.

Thursday, May 1st, the Girls HS Lax team traveled to Summit Thursday night where the JV won 6-5.  Goalie Claire Mellott recorded 6 saves.  Goals were scored by Annabelle Steiner (2), Molly Izenson (2), Libby Fischer (1), and Isabella Renggli (1).  Both Madelyn Taylor and Annabelle Steiner had an assist

The Varsity lost their game 6-13 against a strong Summit varsity squad.  Goalie Emily Wadds recorded 7 saves.  Goals were scored by Haley Stewart (2), Marielle Smith (1), Adi Smith (1), Grace Schneider (1), and Marta Stewart.

Saturday, May 3rd, both the JV and Varsity Girls Lacrosse teams came up short at home against the Mt. Notre Dame Cougars, the #6 team in the State in Division I girls lacrosse.  The JV lost 0-9 and Varsity lost 5-13.  Goals were scored by Marielle Smith (2), Reilly Simmons (1), Claire Crawford (1), and Maggie Hughes (1). 

Next up, Loveland, (the #5 team in the State in Division I) at Home on Tuesday, May 6, JV game at 6pm and Varsity game at 7:30pm.
