Nail Biter in Bexley

The Cowboy's end of the season win streak came to an end tonight with a loss at Bexley HS (Columbus) in the 2nd round of the State Girls Lax Tournament, final score 6-11.  Down 2-6 after the first half, the Cowboys fought back to a 6-7 score eight minutes into the second half when a series of untimely turnovers were capitalized by the Lions as goals.  Goalie Emily Wadds had an impressive night making 11 saves behind solid defensive play by Carly Schlager, Grace Schneider, Grace Crawford, Emily Wood, and Emma Komrska.  Goals were scored by Adi Smith (2), Haley Stewart (2), Claire Crawford (1), and Marielle Smith (1).  Assists were lead by Marta Stewart (3).

The Cowboy's end their season with a 10W-7L-1T record.  The team should feel proud of their accomplishments as the 2014 season was their toughest schedule in program history playing five teams ranked in the top 15 in the State.
