CHL Clincher

The Cowboys Varsity Tennis Team ended the regular season with a 4-1 win over Mariemont on Monday (5/12). This brings the team’s record to a very impressive 13-3 overall, and 5-0 in the CHL. Indeed, this win clinched the CHL title for the boys varsity tennis team for the first time since 2009!!  At the start of the season, one of the team’s goals was to win the CHL title, which might have seemed pie-in-the-sky at the time since Indian Hill has won the title every year since 1986 (except for 2009). But the team worked very hard and really rose to the challenge to win the CHL title this year; and the whole team rightly deserves a BIG congratulations!

 And, if winning the CHL title were not enough, the team also beat Oakwood (Dayton) 4-1 in post season play. The Cowboys look to extend their 5 game winning streak as they advance to the next round of the play-offs.

 Even though the regular season is over, there is a lot of post-season play coming up, some of it at the team level and some at the individual level – so stay tuned in!
