The WHS Boys lacrosse team upped its record to 9 – 2 on the year with an impressive win over Turpin on Friday night by a final score of 12 – 6. Scoring leaders for the Cowboys were senior James McAllister, who had 4 goals and an assist and senior Griffin O’Gara, who had 3 goals and an assist. Junior Johnny Hughes notched 2 goals and 2 assists, while sophomore Jack Crider also had 2 goals. Junior Andy Renggli rounded out the scoring for the Cowboys with 1 goal. Sophomores Cooper O’Gara and Mason Rogers led the Cowboys in ground balls controlled with 9 each. Sophomore Nicholas Robles continued his domination of face offs with 17 wins in 22 total face offs.
The team still has two weeks of regular season games left before heading into the post season, including games this week on Monday & Wednesday at home (Wednesday is youth lacrosse night!) and an away game on Friday night. Come on out and support the team.
