Softball opens with win

The softball team opened its season yesterday with a 9-4 win over Mariemont.  Freshman pitcher Gabby Potvin picked up the win while fanning 11.  (Note to Mrs. Roundup: that means Gabby struck out 11.)

The offense was led by senior captain Abby Zennie, who was 3-3 with 2 RBI, senior captain Bailey DeBlasis who was 2-3, and sophomore Lillian Krekeler, who was 3-4 with 5 RBI and a home run.

Next up: home opener this afternoon vs. Roger Bacon at 4:30.
