Baseball team comes from behind for victory over McNick

The baseball team evened its record at 3-3 (1-0) today with a come from behind 10-8 victory over McNicholas.  Joe Meier picked up his first win of the season in relief and Max Kadish got the save.

The team trailed by a score of 5-3 going into the sixth inning and promptly put up seven - all with two out.  I can't remember all the details but in part Ryan Bundy had a nice hit up the middle to start the scoring, Max had the game-tying RBI, Evan Aleshire walked to force a run across, Adam Chalmers was hit by a pitch and the McNick pitcher balked in a run.

McNick made it interesting in the top of the 7th, scoring 3 runs to close to 10-8 and loading the bases before Max closed it out.

Hitting leaders for the Cowboys were Ryan, who went 3-3, Max who 2-2, Evan with a double and 2 RBI, and Chris Campbell who was 3-4.

Next up: Mariemont at home today at 4:30.
