On Jan. 23rd, the 8th Grade Girls Basketball Team beat Deer Park 30-21. Emily Dudek led the scoring with 13 points, followed by Kayla Hampton and Lauren Metz each with 7, Isabelle Judge with 2, and Marley Manigault with 1. This win evens the record to 4-4, with the next game on January 28 at Indian Hill.
The game started off physical and low scoring. At the end of the first quarter Wyoming led 6-2. The second quarter was more of the same with the Wildcats keeping pace with the Cowboys. The halftime score was 15-9.
In the second half, the defensive battle continued. Crissy Gallick and Tatyanna Palmer increased the defensive pressure while Kelsey Lackey and Jamaiica Hurston hit the boards. The third quarter ended with a 20-14 score. Wyoming outscored Deer Park 10-7 in the fourth quarter to secure the win.
