Girl’s Varsity Softball opened the season against Meriemont today, April 1st, when they hosted Mariemont. Being the good hosts that they are, our Girls' had the action wrapped up quickly so the Warriors could make it home in time for an early dinner. In only 5 innings, pitcher Gabby Potvin threw 10 K's and only 2 hits. Why did Gabby pitch only 5 innings, you ask? Tired shoulder...? Injury...? Concession stand run...? No, the game was called in the 5th because of the 10 Run Rule. In the Cowboy's 22-0 win, everyone on offense contributed.
The Girls travel to Princeton tomorrow, Tuesday, April 2nd, at 4:30.
On Wednesday, Aprl 3rd, at 4:30, the Girls' are hosted by Mariemont.
Let's all turn out to cheer on our Girls.
If Mariemont got this good of a look at Gabby's pitches, the score would have been different... it might have been 22 to 1.
