Girls' W-Winning W-Weekend

Coach Crawford sent us reports for this weekends Girls' Lacrosse action.

Friday, April 26th vs. Mother of Mercy
After a week break, the Girls HS lacrosse team improved their record to 6 wins and 3 losses with a win over Mother of Mercy HS, final score 11 to 8. A very strong goalie performance was turned in by Freshman Clare Mellott as she recorded 9 saves to lead the defensive effort. Scoring was lead by Carly Levick with 4 followed by Adi Smith with 3, MJ Fisher with 2, and Marta Stewart and Maggie Hughes with 1 each. Draw controls were the key to this game as Wyoming snared 12 to dominate over Mercy's 5.
 
Saturday, April 27th vs. McAuley
The Girls HS lacrosse team looked impressive with a win over McAuley HS, final score 13 to 2. A strong team defensive performance was turned in by the low defense lead by Grace Schneider, Grace Crawford, Roslyn Rathbone, and Carly Schlager. Another fine performance by freshman goalie Claire Mellott with a commanding save percentage of 67%. Goals recorded were lead by MJ Fischer with 4, Adi Smith with 3, Carly Levick and freshman Reilly Simmons, each with 2, and Marta Stewart and Becky Denson, each with 1. Draw control was lead by Carly Levick and freshman Haley Stewart, each with 4. Loose ball control was lead by Grace Crawford and Adi Smith, each with 3.

Next up, Home game Tuesday, April 30, against Bishop Fenwick as the team looks to their eighth win and to break into the top 25 ranking for girl's HS lacrosse team, all divisions, in the State.
