Clean Sweep In Miamisburg

From Coach Denson

The MS boys lacrosse team traveled to Miamisburg on Tuesday April 23 and won both games, 8-5 in the first game and 6-3 in the second. In both games the Cowboys jumped out to an early lead and then played tough defense down the stretch. Grant Mellott and Brooks Brunke both saved fifty percent of the shots on goal. In the first game, Cole Engel and Connor Yauss each posted a hat trick, and Max Frankel and Nick Denson each scored one. Cole Engel, Alex Thompson, and Max Frankel contributed assists. Connor Yauss led the team with 8 ground balls. In the second game Christian Robles, Max Frankel, Jackson Klug, Declan Dunehew, Brayden Matlin, and Nick Denson each had a goal, with assists from Christian Robles, Cole Bradley, Declan Dunehew, and Cole Engel. The final Cowboy goal showed why lacrosse is the fastest game on two feet, with Brunke passing to Dunehew passing to Robles leading to a score in four seconds. Daniel Shapiro and Christian Robles led the team in ground balls with five each. The Cowboys face Centerville at home on Thursday April 25.
