JV played their first home game of the season on 9/12/15 against Beavercreek. After falling behind 16-0 the Cowboys fought back for their first win of the year. Myles Smith and Ethan Tefs both scored a TD in the 2nd quarter getting us closer to even. Tyler McIlvain's reception for a 2-pnt conversion brought Wyoming JV to a score of 16 - 14 at the half.
The Cowboys next score came from a huge run by Myles Smith and another 2-pnt conversion from Tyler McIlvain. Shep threw a great pass to Andrew Chaney, who was waiting in the endzone. The 2-pnt conversion was good. With about three minutes to play, Shep Marty connected with Trent Rusnak for the touchdown pass that put Wyoming up for good. We went for the extra point, but it failed. Wyoming 36 - Beavercreek 30.
Wyoming’s offense was led by Ethan Teffs on the ground and Myles Smith receiving. A Tyler McIlvane interception at the goal line secured the win. Eli Cupp and Trent Rusnak led the Cowboys in tackles. They play at Indian Hill Saturday 9/19 at 10am. Come on out and support your Cowboys!
