Wyoming Swimming Soaks Up Success

Wyoming Swimming Successful at Mason Invitational
The Wyoming Swim Team had a strong showing at the Mason Invitational this past weekend. This invitational offers the first prelim/finals type of competition of the high school season and is attended by many D-1 programs including St. X. In all, 25 teams with over 600 swimmers competed. The men finished 7th and the women finished 6th.

Highlights for Wyoming included several students qualifying to compete at Finals:
Sean Gray (10) and Jonah Engelhardt (14) in the 200 free;
Sara Washienko (3) and Sam Edwards (15) in 50 Free;
Claire Crawford (15) in 100 Fly;
Camille Wilson (8), Sarah LeBuhn (9) and Sam Edwards (16) in 100 Free;
Cambray Smith (6), Isabelle Andersen (12), Jonah Engelhardt (8) and Abe Wickstrom (15) in 500 Free.
The Women's 200 yd Free Relay (Washienko, Bailey Skidmore, LeBuhn and Wilson) placed 5th.
The Men's 200 yd Free Relay (Edwards, Blake Wicksrom, Gray and David Weinrich) placed 6th.
Sean Gray (14) in 100 Back;
Bailey Skidmore (11), Sami Abel (13), Becky Denson (16), David Weinrich (8) and Noah Hamilton (16) placed in 100 Breast.

Wyoming is back in the water with a full squad on Tuesday, Dec. 4th at 3:45 pm at PCY. They will be competing against Madeira and Finneytown.
