Win 1 With Rooks!!

So the Cheerleaders shown in the December 8th post were right; the Boys' Varsity Basketball team followed the Girls' lead and decided to get their first win at home against Deer Park.  The score came out 51-44 with Frost putting in 24 himself.  I understand the game had some tense moments.  I got the following report from Rod Apfelbeck:  The story on picture 26 of 36 (referring to Rod's picture gallery linked below) is that (I think) Will Marty threw an inbounds pass the length of the court (makes sense that Will threw a long pass) to Walker (not a good name for a basketball player) Lewis who caught it, went up for the layup and got hacked really bad. NO foul was called. So the next two pictures are Coach Rooks yelling at and then talking to the ref about the no call.  Maybe it's a mistake on my part to remind you of what you've been missing since I forced Rod out of the Round-Up.  Two separate, equally funny jokes in one sentence.
The Deer Park players might be tall, sure, but they still came up short against our Cowboys.
This is the Picture 26 referred to above.  I don't see what everyone except the Ref got worked up.
Below are some numbers to keep you statisticians happy.
Wyoming 51, Deer Park 44
Wyoming (1-2) - Frost 9 5 24, Kurtz 1 2 4, Lewis 2 5 9, Marty 2 0 5, Akinbi 1 4 7, M. Rogers 0 2 2. Totals: 15 18 51.
Deer Park (1-3) - Helton 1 0 3, Johnson 4 4 12, Hayes 2 0 5, Ballard 3 3 9, Newman 3 3 9, Clement 3 0 6. Totals: 16 10 44.
Halftime: Wyoming 29-23. 3-pointers: W 3 (Frost, Marty, Akinbi); DP 2 (Helton, Hayes).

Not only the first W of the season, but this was the first Wyoming W of the Rooks era.  Congratulations, Coach!!
