Cowboys Keep Trying At Mariemont

From Coach King

What do you do when your tallest girl is 5'10" and the opposing team has a solid 6'3" girl who can catch and shoot really well?  Coach Jeff King is still trying to figure that one out.
On Dec. 20th, the 8th Grade Girls Basketball Team lost to an undefeated Mariemont team 23-40.  Lauren Metz led the scoring with 13 points, followed by Kayla Hampton with 6 and Emily Dudek and Isabelle Judge each with 2.  The girls made a valiant defensive effort in a very physical game, trying multiple defenses and assignments.  Lauren Metz drew the "big" assignment aided by different combinations of Isabelle Judge, Kelsey Lackey, Emma Postallian and Emma Jacquemin.  Putting the pressure on the guards were Kayla Hampton, Emily Dudek, Crissy Gallick and Tatyana Palmer.
The girls play their next game on Jan. 7th at home with Reading.

So now we all know where we need to be on January 7th.  Let's turn out and show the Middle School Girls our support.
