Cowfish Crush Kings and Clark

Oh, the joys of the Saturday afternoon swim meet.

Saturday, December 15th, the Wyoming Cowfish hosted a Tri-Meet with Clark and Kings, where twice as many bubbles were eaten.

Great meet Wyoming Cowfish!!

The Wyoming Medley Relay of Andrew Derge, Nicholus Denson, Lia Thomas and Carson Burt started the meet of with a big win and set the tone for an exciting swim/dive tri-meet.  Carson Burt,Andrew Derge, & Philip Brocker were double, individual event winners.  Arthur Cilly, Becca Prangley, Lia Thomas & Nicholus Denson were single, individual event winners.  The Free Relay team of Philip Brocker, Andrew Derge, Lia Thomas and Carson Burt capped off the swimming events with an impressive win.  Not mentioned here, but the half-second Burt victory in the 500 Free was pretty exciting too.

Our divers, Samantha Campell,Charlie Donnelly and Terra Forsyth continued with a spectacular diving display finishing 1st, 2nd and 3rd place earning many points for the Cowfish victory!!

 

I usually try to get a picture of the scoreboard to show event and heat information before each race as way to tell what pictures came from what race, but the location of the scoreboard at PCY wasn't going to allow that. So parents will have to use goggles and the shape of the swimmers' noggins and to identify their athletes. And as the parent of a former diver, I ashamed to say that I didn't stay for diving. Yes, I've become one of "those" parents. But the call of the office Christmas Party that we were dangerously close to being late for was just to strong. I will try to repent of my wicked ways at at least one of the upcoming swim dive meets on Tuesday and Thursday of this week.
