Mason Bourbon qualifed for the state tennis tournament yesterday at the Division II District Tournament at Centerville. He defeated Chamberlain (Waynesville) 6-0, 6-1 and Heinz (Bellbrook) 5-7, 7-6, 6-4. He will play again Saturday for seeding.
Mason will be one of the 16 Division II players at the state tournament, which begins next Thursday.
In doubles, Gustav Plattenburg and Harrison Belew lost to state qualifiers Pruitt-Carpenter (Oakwood) 6-3, 6-3.
Reminder: The boys TEAM plays today at 4 at Seven Hills. This is the Elite Eight match that will send the winner to Columbus next week to represent Southwest Ohio.
