Girls lacrosse loses heartbreaker

The girls lacrosse team lost a heartbreaker to Springboro on Saturday.  They were down 6-3 at half time, came back to take a 12-10 lead with a couple of minutes remaining but ultimately lost 13-12.

Scorers were: Laura Cress (4 goals), Julie King (3), Megan Roush (2), Mary Jane Fischer (1), Stephanie Lohman (1) and Mary Tess Irvine (1). 

Coach Murphy notes that, "Another point of interest is that this is the first game where we moved up a few of the girls from JV to give us the 24 we will take to the playoffs.  Girls who played up for the Springboro game are: Megan Roush, Danielle Myers, Brook Duncan, Lucy Hackett, and Brittany Sena.  Also joining us for the playoffs, but unable to be there yesterday will be Ali Vamosi."
