Kings wins at the wire over boys' lacrosse

The latest report on the lacrosse team:
The Kings Boys Lacrosse team traveled to Wyoming High School on Wednesday to battle the Cowboys in what was a down to the wire win for Kings. Throughout the game the score ebbed and flowed until the end of the third period when the Knights had taken a commanding lead of 11 to 7. In the fourth period Wyoming scored the first goal at 11:36 and Kings answered at 10:30 making the score Kings 12 and Wyoming 8. Over the next ten minutes the Cowboys scored four unanswered goals tying the game 12 to 12 with one minute and ten seconds remaining. Thinking the game could go into overtime with fifty-eight seconds left in the game Kings scored a goal taking the lead by one point. Twenty-two seconds later and thirty-six seconds left in the game, Tyler Hughes scored and tied the game back up 13 all. Amazingly, with nineteen seconds left, Kings scored another goal taking the lead. During the next nineteen seconds Kings gained possession of the face off and the Cowboys battled to push the ball out of bounds on the side line. With six seconds left the Cowboys made a great attempt to get the ball to an open attackmen near the crease but the pass was not completed turning the ball over to Kings with one second left in the game. It was a great game with excellent sportsmanship on both sides.
The Roundup would like to encourage everyone to come out for the team's last home game this Tuesday vs. Lebanon.  The sport is really fun to watch and our team plays hard and represents the school well.  Here's the primer if you want to bone up a little on the rules first.
