The Cowboys Girl's lacrosse team played their second round State Tournament in Columbus Thursday evening against the St. Francis DeSales Stallions. The Cowboys mounted a furious second half offensive comeback beginning with a defensive lockdown and draw control dominance after finding themselves down 1 to 7 at the beginning of the second half, but fell short in the end losing 8 to 11. Goalie Claire Mellott recorded 4 saves in the Cowboy's effort. Goals were scored by Maggie Hughes (3) Adi Smith (2), Reilly Simmons (1), Haley Stewart (1), Olivia Cunningham (1). The Cowboy's end a remarkable season with 12 wins and 6 loses.
