Seventh Inning Swing

Friday, April 11th, the Softball team hosted Taylor.  Lisa Golden tells the story of the wild 7-6 win.

Wyoming started slow allowing two runs in the first but managed to hit around in the bottom of the third, scoring 6 runs.  Wyoming's defense came through when it counted with two key double plays.  In the sixth, Taylor had scored three runs to pull within one.  Michaela Fetter caught a fly to left and threw to Emily Dudek at home to double the runner at home to end the inning.  Taylor then  tied it in the seventh after 2 Wyoming mis-cues.  Erin Campbell had a shoestring catch and doubled off the runner at first.  Wyoming had some breaks returned when the Taylor pitcher hit Ally Golden and Olivia Munneke followed that with a sharp single to center that got by the center fielder allowing Ally to score the winning run.
Thanks to Lisa Golden for the report and
Skip Koesterman for the great pictures.
