It was a long week for the Cowboy Softball team. Lisa Golden reports:
Wyoming lost 9-1 to Indian Hill Wednesday. Though no errors were made andMJ struck out 5, Wyoming surrendered 2 runs in the first, 5 more in the
third and the last two in the seventh. The Wyoming hitters reached base on
eight occasions via 4 hits and 4 walks; Reagan and Ally twice each and
Ellen, Emily, Michaela and Riley once. Riley Boss scored the lone run from
second on Reagan's second single of the game.
The lady Cowboys had a rough outing Thursday against the Madeira squad. The
offense struggled with only two hits. Reagan Raymer started the game with a
single and stole second but was left there. Ally Golden started the second
inning also with a single, and also was stranded after a stolen base. The
senior Madeira pitcher had the Wyoming bats baffled, retiring the other 15
batters she faced. MJ Juergens showed good control on the mound walking
only two and was "rewarded" with Madeira finding the seams in the defense.
The end result was a 10-0 loss for Wyoming.
At the time of this post, the Cowboys avenged themselves with a 7-5 win over Indian Hill on Monday, April 21. Tuesday, April 23rd they host CHCA. Sounds like a good time to show up and cheer on the team.
