The second game was also tied 3-3 late in the fourth quarter, when Lakota scored a man-up goal to get the win, 4-3. Grant Mellot and Brooks Brunke each saved over 65% of the shots on goal. Nick Denson led the scoring with 2 goals in the first game, with Jared Buttelworth & Jake Tucker each adding one. Cole Engel, Zach Osha, and Jared Buttelwerth set up the goals with assists. Connor Yauss led the way with 8 ground balls, and Jake Souleyrette caused four Lakota turn-overs. Jackson Klug, Brian Hartman, and Declan Dunehew each scored in the second game, with assists from Jackson Klug and Brayden Matlin. Daniel Shapiro and Cade Barnett led the team in both grounds balls and four forced turn-overs each. The Cowboys finished their regular season with a record of 17-13.
