The MS boys lacrosse team played their final home games of the season on Thursday May 2, losing to Visitation 1-9 in the first game and Summit 3-4 in the second game. Visitation took a big lead into the half in the first game. The Cowboys rallied in the second half, getting on the board and holding the Vikings to only 2 more goals the rest of the way. The Cowboys led a very well matched game with Summit 2-0 at the half, with Alex Thompson scoring both goals. The Silver Knights battled back to tie the game 2-2 by the end of the third quarter. Connor Yauss put the Cowboys ahead with a fourth quarter goal, but then Summit again battled back to win on a goal in the closing minutes. Grant Mellot saved over seventy percent of the shots on goal. The Cowboys take a record of 17-11 into their final regular season games against Lakota East on Thursday May 9 at Lakota.
