Unfortunately he dislocated his knee cap before the season started and had to have arthroscopic knee sugery. The good news is that he has been cleared to start playing again.
On another note, the team got new jerseys, and they taped the players reacting to the announcement. Having waited for Jeff outside the OU locker room as other (hulking) players walked by, I have no comment about their reaction, but "squeals like little girls" is how the reaction is described online. Jeff appears (squeal free) way toward the end of the video but it's worth watching the whole thing. Thanks to Melissa Kadish for sending it along.
