The WHS Boys’ Varsity Golf Team pulled golf’s equivalent of a fourth quarter comeback in downing Mariemont 167 – 168 last night in a CHL league match.
Led by sophomore Henry Moore’s 39, the Cowboys were down by 7 shots with only the final 2 golfers left on the course. Freshman Johnny Hughes delivered the goods by posting a 40, which pulled the team all the way back and into the lead that stood once all scores for the match were posted.
Wyoming moves to 13 – 5 on the year, and remains in the thick of the CHL league race.
The team returns to action in a non-league match at Fairfield next Tuesday 9/6.
