Boys' soccer comes back for exciting 4-3 win over Seven Hills

The boys' soccer team made an exciting comeback from a 3-1 halftime deficit at Seven Hills on Saturday night to secure a 4-3 victory.

Senior Brock Marshall scored the first half goal.  Sophomore Ryan Derge scored all three of the second half goals.

From Head Coach Steve Thomas:

Brock Marshall and Ryan Derge were definately the two stand-out players during this game. Brock played exceptional defense while man-marking one of the best and most dangerous players in the city for Seven Hills while Ryan Derge played his best game to date.

The thing that impressed me the most about the game was that all of the players, especially the 3 captains (Nick Kamphaus, Jason Dewitt and Cory Macke) did not give up and quit, but believed that they could come back and win and played their best second half of soccer this year.

I was never more proud to be a coach at Wyoming than I was Saturday night. It was a total team victory!
Next up: at Reading on Tuesday, JV at 5, Varsity at 7.

The final two photo galleries rescued from the computer crash are from the Talawanda game and the Indian Hill game.  Feel free to imagine that these are Seven Hills pictures if that would help prevent cognitive dissonance.
