Inaugural Wyoming Legends honors Johnson, awards Heuer and Crider

Wyoming Golf Club member and long-time Wyoming resident Carol “Keenie” Johnson is slated to be inducted into the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Hall of Fame in November. The Board of Directors for Wyoming Golf Club established the Wyoming Legends event this year in recognition of Keenie’s accomplishments as well as to establish an annual tradition of recognizing the long history of golf excellence in Wyoming.

The inaugural Wyoming Legends event was held this past Saturday 9/24 @ Wyoming Golf Club. In addition to recognizing Keenie Johnson’s long, distinguished career, the Golf Club awarded two college scholarships. Wyoming Seniors Adam Crider and Carly Heuer were each awarded a scholarship based on the following criteria:

- At least 2 years of Varsity golf experience
- Academic performance
- Financial need
- A 500 word essay on what it means to be a “Wyoming Legend”

Saturday’s event was a resounding success, so much so that the Golf Club has now endowed a scholarship fund that will allow for two scholarships to be awarded each year moving forward (one for a senior boy and one for a senior girl).
