Football loses to Indian Hill

The football team made an exciting comeback last night but fell to Indian Hill 28-22.

The game was 21-0 at the half and Indian Hill looked pretty dominant.

The second half was completely different.  We scored on a 29 yard pass from Will Marty to Dominic Vamosi.  (There was a problem with the extra point snap, but Dominic had been coached well - he didn't hesitate in picking the ball up and running it in for a two point conversion.)

Later, with Indian Hill backed up to its own 14, David Farrow caused a fumble which Brian Anderson picked up and ran in for a touchdown.

Phillip Schuholz scored our third touchdown on a 14 yard run, making the score 28-22.

The defense held IH to a three and out.  We picked up a couple of first downs on our last drive, but we weren't able to convert 4th and 21 from our 40.  Indian Hill ran out the clock on its subsequent possession.

Chris Campbell was hurt early in the game and didn't return.  He has an MRI Monday on what may be a serious knee injury.  Think good thoughts.  As the team physician, Dr. Taylor said, "He's a good kid."

Next up: at Reading this coming Friday at 7:30.  (Reading does not play at its high school, but at Reading Veterans Stadium, 1600 West Street, Cincinnati, 45215).
