The guys played Reading High School last night. The wake-up alarm sounded for the Cowboys when Reading opened up the game by scoring within the first minute. But once awake, the Cowboys came on strong. On the scoring front, it was the Andrew Derge/Jay Klein show. Andrew started it off by scoring the first goal. After that Jay scored off a header from Andrew, then Andrew scored off a corner kick by Jay. The guys had a challenging game on a muddy, tore up field (as you'll see in the pictures). Into the second half, the field got so bad, the ref and both head coaches determined it wasn't safe for the guys to continue on. So with about 23 minutes left, the game was called and the Cowboys were victorious. Final 3-1
We are all so proud of the team for working so hard to achieve the win in the CHL conference. You all deserve it!
Next, and last, season game is at home this Saturday, October 11th against Amelia. JV plays at 1:00. Varsity plays at 3:00. This is also Senior night, so we hope to see everyone come out!
