Jen Hays reports for the Boys Soccer team.
Last Saturday (August 30th) the Wyoming Men's Varsity Soccer team played Seven Hills. Two words sum up the game..HAT TRICK! Andrew Derge scored three goals against Seven Hills to give Wyoming the win 3-0.
On Tuesday, the guys played at home against Finneytown. In a surprising first half, the Cowboys and Wildcats remained scoreless. But the second half went to the Cowboys. First and second goals were scored, once again, by Andrew Derge. Second one had so much power on it, it shot through the back of the net! (Okay, maybe there was already a hole there, but it definitely confused the refs!) The third goal of the game was scored on a hand-ball-penalty-kick by Toby Varland. Final score Wyoming 3 - Finneytown 0.
Next game is Saturday, Sept. 6th at Talawanda. JV plays at 5:00 pm, Varsity plays at 7:00 pm. Go Cowboys!
