Baseball senior day

The baseball team held Senior Day yesterday, a beautiful, though sudorific, day.

Seniors recognized were Chris Campbell, Jack Meier, Josh McRae, Adam Crider, Andy Dickson, Adam Chalmers and Max Kadish.

The team has a nice tradition where the parents write a letter to their son, and the son writes a letter to his parents.  Alumni baseball dad Rich Gomez read these over the PA.  We laughed...we cried.

The team then held a hard-fought, if not entirely serious, game.  For example, the umpiring crew was, at best, suspect:

The kid with the best arm wasn't even in uniform.

A couple of animals ran on the field:

I'm not sure I can put my finger on it, but something about the third base coach seemed to indicate he wasn't giving it 100%.

The D.O.B.O. was involved in a pickle.

I did get the chance to shoot from places normally off limits (such as behind the pitcher), which was fun (but scary).

All in all, everyone seemed to have fun.

Next up: at home today tomorrow vs. Bethel Tate (just added and then changed) at 4:30
