Baseball defeats Wilmington 4-3

The baseball team won its playoff opener last night, defeating Wilmington 4-3.  (We had a bye in the first round, so it was our opening game but actually a second round game.)

Anna Kelly's son Michael started the game and pitched 5 2/3 strong innings.  Melissa Kadish's son Max went the rest of the way and got the win.

Lynn Crider's son Adam had two runs batted in and Cindy Howell's son Casey had one.  (The Wilmington pitcher balked in the winning run.)

Next up: #8 Norwood upset #2 McNick last night 6-5, and thus advance to face us next Thursday the 17th at Western Hills (2144 Ferguson Road, 45238).  Bracket here.
