Football defeats Taylor

The football team went to Taylor Friday night and came away with a 42-13 victory.

The halftime score was closer than expected - 14-7, but the team pulled away in the third quarter with 21 unanswered points.

Kyle Seyfried led the way in his second game back from injury.  He was 16 of 25 for 390 yards and five touchdowns.  TD passes went to Drew Perry (5 yards), Max Kadish (70 yards and 30 yards) and Jonathan Tighe (33 and 99 yards).  Unless Ohio goes to Canadian football rules so the field is 120 yards long (please direct questions to Jim Leish or Claude Potvin), that record will never be broken.

Drew had the one rushing touchdown for the game.  Joe Panos was 6-6 on PAT's.

The defense had another good night, allowing Taylor just 5 first downs during the first three quarters.  They also took the ball away three times on interceptions by Phillip Schuholz, Chris Campbell and Tyler Cornelius.

What is 12 feet, 3 inches tall, weighs 529 pounds and you really want on your side?  Wyoming football alum's Jeff King, WHS '07 and Ohio University D-lineman, and Jibreel Black, WHS '10 and Michigan D-End.  No stats on the future Cowboy star with them.

Next up: regular season finale at Indian Hill Friday night at 7:30.
