Please join us on Saturday, March 9th as The Wyoming School Foundation (WSF) and Wyoming Youth Services team up to provide Wyoming families with a morning of fitness and breakfast with the 2nd annual 5K FUNRUN and 12th annual Pancake Breakfast.
The Wyoming School Foundation kicks off the morning with the 5K FUNRUN. Check- in begins at 7:00 a.m., with the race starting at 8:00 a.m. at the corner of Worthington and Beech. The course winds through the village of Wyoming streets. Runners of all ages are encouraged to participate. The course is a 2.5K loop--run it twice for a full 5K run!
Once the run is completed, head down the street to the Civic Center for a rewarding and delicious PANCAKE breakfast, sponsored by Wyoming Youth Services. This annual event is the unofficial kick-off to Spring--complete with unlimited pancakes, silent auction bidding and raffle items. The breakfast runs from 8:00-11:00 a.m. Admission is free with your race registration or available at the door for $5.00 (children 3 and under are free). Breakfast includes pancakes, sausage, fruit and choice of beverage.
Entry fees, INCLUDING ADMISSION TO THE PANCAKE BREAKFAST are:
$35 adult, $25 for grades 5-12, $15 for grades K-4.
Register by Feb. 22 to receive a commemorative race t-shirt.
(After February 22nd, shirts will be provided if available)
There will be a $5 additional fee for race day registration.
Proceeds from the FUNRUN will benefit the Foundation’s Endowment Fund, a campaign aimed at building a substantial endowment so yearly earnings are distributed to the Wyoming City Schools.
Proceeds from the Pancake Breakfast will benefit Wyoming Youth Services, a local nonprofit agency that supports and strengthens community youth through services that emphasize prevention, support and volunteerism.
Fitness AND breakfast for the whole family…what could be better??
