Boys' golf off to strong start

The boys' golf team defeated Fenwick Monday at Weatherwax to kick off the season.  The score was Wyoming 337 and Fenwick 338 (18 hole match). Medalist was Colin Fogel, who posted a 78. His score was even more remarkable considering that’s the first match Colin has played in since Freshman year. He was the last player to post a score and made about a 3 foot putt on the 18th hole for the win.

Tuesday the team competed in the Batavia / Madeira Invitational at The Vineyard. They finished in 3rd place, one shot out of a playoff for first. Taylor and Indian Hill played off after finishing tied at 311. Taylor won the playoff to finish first and Indian Hill finished 2nd. Medalist for Wyoming was Adam Crider who shot a 75. Adam birdied the 18th hole for a strong finish and ended up 4th in the event overall, which included 14 teams (84 players total). Other notable scores from Wyoming were Sam Meyers who shot 78 and Joseph Dulemba who shot 79.

Next up: CHL Preview on Thursday afternoon.
