District swimming notes

Some things I missed in my initial posts on the boys and girls sectional swimming championships.

The boys 200 free relay team (AJ Burt, Eric Lethander, Pat Dierker, Michael Murphy) swam a 1:28.42, setting a new district record in the process.  They broke Wyoming's 2009 district record of 1:29.95.

The boys 400 free relay team (AJ Burt, Pat Dierker, Eric Lethander, Zach Fischer) swam a 3:13.12, breaking Wyoming's district record set in 2009 of 3:14.96.

The girls 200 medley relay team (Celia Oberholzer, Mariah Okinbi, Rachael Theiler, Abby Gibbons) set a new district record time (1:49.25), breaking the record held previously by last year's Wyoming team of 1:50.93.

In the 100 backstroke, Celia Oberholzer swam a 56.51.  This was better than her state championship time from last year, better by almost  two seconds than her district championship time last year (58.45), and just .06 seconds off the state record of 56.45 set in 2005.

In the 200 Individaul Medley, Claire Gilbert swam a 2:11.41.  This is just short of 8 seconds better than her sectional time of 2:19.38.
