Daniel Leish sets Wyoming "near falls" points record

Daniel Leish recently set a new Wyoming single season record for "near fall" points.

What is a near fall?

It is when you have the opponents back to the mat and you are able to hold him there for 2-5 seconds (2 to 4 seconds equals 2 points, 5 seconds equals 3 points), obviously without their shoulders touching or that is a pin and the match is over. The 5 second hold is the most points you can get in each match and can happen multiple times.

Daniel still has the CHLs, Sectionals, etc. to extend his record.

Daniel now has 136 near fall points.  Teammate Neal Williams previously had the record.

2008-2009 Neal Williams 118
2008-2009 Matt Andersen 115
2007-2008 Neal Williams 78
2008-2009 Pete Richman 76
2008-2009 Daniel Leish 76
2005-2006 Graham Marteney 75
2006-2007 Neal Williams 70
